Wieland construction methods allow for product longevity in healthcare environments while providing great versatility through a patented bolt and bushing system, making it easy to access components on site often with one simple tool. With this structural flexibility, products are able to be maintained on site, including motion products such as recliners and sleep chairs, preventing loss of use for an extended period.

Wieland furniture is designed with change in mind. That’s why the fabrics we use are held in place with hook and loop closures. They keep the fabric securely in place, yet allow easy on site removal for cleaning or replacement. No special skills or tools are required. In addition, patterns appearing on Wieland fabric cards carry a 5 year, 24/7, warranty, adding assurance to the life and performance of our products.

Only high density, high quality foams are used in Wieland seating. They can’t and won’t bottom out or lose their shape. All foams used in our products are covered under product warranty with no exceptions.

A pliable waterproof membrane laminated to interior foams protects them from any kind of liquid damage – which also makes spot cleaning possible.

Over time, excessive use can weaken the frames of lesser quality furniture. But at Wieland, we use molded wood veneers bond ed to a single, durable frame. Strong interior framing is made up of hardwood plywood and Baltic Birch plywood providing more stability than conventional solid hardwood framing that checks and cracks over time, weakening the structure.

Wieland’s use of high tech, catalyzed varnish finishes offers flexibility in coloration perm itting a more perfect match with your decor scheme. These finishes are durable as well, beautifully resisting scratches, stains, and temperature extremes.

Wieland has always demonstrated a concern for managing the earth’s resources respons ibly. Our modular and renewable construction, including frames, seats, backs and arms can be reused when recovering existing product. And that significantly extends the life cycle of Wieland furniture, ultimately reducing contrib utions to the waste stream and stress on our planet.


Every line of Wieland furniture has undergone rigorous industry and government testing - passing it the first time out. Bariatric testing also incorporates dynamic testing. Unlike conventional static weight tests, where a given weight is simply placed in the seat, dynamic testing involves dropping weight from approx imately six inches above the seat. This more accurately replicates the forces applied to a chair when someone sits down in it.
